Early Life and Background
Millyz was born Myles Lockwood on February 17, 1991, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He grew up around Cambridgeport, Riverside and the Central Square area, a part of the city very different from the image created by nearby Harvard University and MIT.
Hip-hop was already part of his environment during his teenage years. Neighborhood freestyle sessions and rap battles gave him opportunities to develop his skills long before music became a full-time profession.
Millyz has also spoken publicly about experiencing difficulties during childhood and being placed in special education. His teenage years included involvement in street activity, experiences he would later turn into material for his music.
Instead of hiding those parts of his background, Millyz frequently uses them to explain the choices, consequences, ambition and emotional struggles that appear throughout his songs.

Millyz is 35 years old as of 2026. He was born on February 17, 1991.
His career is an example of an artist achieving wider recognition after a lengthy development period rather than experiencing overnight success. He had already spent years recording, performing and distributing music before reaching a national audience.
Millyz’s Real Name
Millyz’s real name is Myles Lockwood.
He adopted Millyz as his professional name and has used it throughout his recording career. The stage name has since become closely associated with his Blanco projects and his identity within independent East Coast hip-hop.
Music Career
Millyz began participating in rap battles and cyphers when he was around 14 and started recording music as a teenager.
He released his early mixtape Whiteboy Like Me in 2009. Several years of independent releases and live performances followed as he developed an audience around Massachusetts and beyond.
An important early connection came through Jadakiss, whom Millyz met in the 2010s. Jadakiss became one of the established rappers associated with his rise and later appeared on multiple records with him.
Millyz gained significantly more national exposure through his appearance in the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher. The performance introduced his lyrical ability to listeners outside his existing regional audience.
His career continued growing through consistent releases, freestyles and collaborations. Rather than depending entirely on a major-label breakthrough, Millyz developed a strong independent following through streaming platforms, social media, touring and direct engagement with fans.
The Blanco Series
The Blanco series has become one of the most recognizable parts of Millyz’s discography.
Beginning with earlier instalments and continuing through albums such as Blanco 4, Blanco 5 and Blanco 6, the series allowed Millyz to combine street-oriented rap with personal storytelling and melodic records.
He released Blanco 7 on April 18, 2025. The 20-track project featured artists including Jadakiss, NoCap, Dave East, Mozzy, Rob49 and OT7 Quanny.
A 28-track deluxe edition followed in August 2025.
The project demonstrated the style Millyz had developed over the years: detailed writing about success, relationships, loss, loyalty and difficult experiences combined with contemporary hip-hop production.
R&P and Recent Music
Millyz expanded his sound further in 2026 with R&P, released on March 27.
The 12-track project leaned more heavily into melodic and relationship-focused music while maintaining his rap delivery. A 16-track deluxe edition arrived on May 22, 2026.
Songs connected with the project include “Wilt Chamberlain,” “Highbeams,” “Missin Me,” “Pin That” and “TLC.”
His catalogue continued growing throughout 2026 with additional singles.
One of his most discussed releases was “Say Yea” with Remy Ma, released in September 2026. The collaboration attracted considerable attention not only because of the song but also because of speculation surrounding the chemistry between the two artists.
Is Millyz Dating Remy Ma?
Millyz and Remy Ma have sparked dating speculation, but a romantic relationship has not been publicly confirmed.
The rumors increased after they collaborated on “Say Yea” and appeared together in promotional material that presented them with noticeable on-screen chemistry.
Their social-media interactions and music-video scenes led fans to question whether they were romantically involved. However, neither Millyz nor Remy Ma had clearly confirmed themselves as a couple at the time of writing.
For that reason, reports describing Remy Ma as Millyz’s confirmed girlfriend should be treated cautiously unless either artist publicly verifies the relationship.
Millyz’s Songs and Collaborations
Millyz has built an extensive catalogue rather than relying on a single breakout record. Some of the songs and collaborations associated with his career include:
- “Pablo & Blanco” with Dave East
- “Risk Takers” with Albee Al and Leaf Ward
- “Soul Survivor” featuring Meek Mill
- “Rearview Mirror” featuring Jadakiss
- “Corleone” with Joyner Lucas
- “Ashes in the Maybach” featuring Mozzy
- “By My Lonely” with Jadakiss and DJ Drama
- “I Understand” featuring NoCap

His collaborations show his strong connection to lyric-driven East Coast rap while also demonstrating his willingness to work across different regional styles.
Millyz Net Worth and Earnings

Several entertainment and celebrity-finance websites publish estimated figures, but these numbers generally do not come from Millyz, audited financial statements or another authoritative financial source. They should therefore not be presented as confirmed facts.
His known income opportunities include music streaming, recording royalties, touring, live performances, merchandise and independent music releases.
His ability to headline increasingly large venues also suggests that touring has become a more important part of his business. In May 2025, he performed a major hometown show at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, marking an important step in his growth as a live performer.
Why Millyz Became Popular
Millyz’s rise stands out because it developed gradually.
His appeal comes largely from combining technically skilled rapping with autobiographical writing. His songs regularly address pain, ambition, street experiences, relationships and the pressure that comes with achieving success.
He has also maintained relationships with respected rappers while continuing to release music independently. Instead of abandoning his Massachusetts identity after gaining attention elsewhere, Cambridge remains an important part of his story and music.
Conclusion
Millyz has developed from a teenage rapper participating in Cambridge cyphers into an established independent hip-hop artist with an extensive catalogue and collaborations with some of rap’s recognizable names.
At 35, Myles Lockwood continues to expand beyond the sound that introduced listeners to the Blanco series. Projects such as Blanco 7 and R&P, along with his 2026 collaboration with Remy Ma, show that his career is still evolving.
